2007 Berm Info February 5, 2007 - After nearly a two year wait for the berm, pipe is now being laid along Island's west end. This pipe will be connected to the dredge off the Islands north shore in the Mississippi Sound. Beach quality sand will then put pumped from the dredge through the pipe onto the eroded sections of Gulf beach. Pumping is projected begin on the Island's far west end later this week. Pictures below were taken this morning, and show the pipe being laid from the sound to Bienville Blvd.
