Work resumes on the berm today.  Delay was caused by a problem with pumping the sand. Due to the extreme length of the sand delivery pipe the dredge was not able to produce enough pressure to get the sand from the dredge all the way to the current work area. (Each length of pipe added to the pipeline creates a friction loss) A new piece of equipment was added to the pipeline today around 2311 Bienville Blvd. This device will boost the pressure enabling the sand to emerge from the pipe at its destination. Please remember that until the pipeline is removed from the area running from 2400 Bienville to Ponce de Leon, the Town will not allow walkovers to be built in that area.

Walkover at Sehoy Ct completed. 

This walkover has a different design than the other walkovers as this one can be opened to allow emergency vehicles access to the beach. 

 (It is illegal for any vehicle other than an emergency vehicle to drive off road onto the beach)
