FACTS and not opinions.
When we do put a
editorial comment and it will be in red.
Be careful where you get your information from. I hope we are keeping
you up to date. If there are questions I can answer feel free to email

Avoiding heat-related illness
The American Red Cross offers these tips on how to avoid heat-related
illness:
Stay indoors and avoid extreme temperature changes. If air conditioning is not
available, stay on the lowest floor and out of the sun. Keep electric fans
running. Drink lots of fluids, particularly water or juice, even if you do not
feel thirsty. It helps the body's thermostat stay cool. Avoid alcoholic
beverages, as they can dehydrate the body. Eat small, frequent meals. Avoid
foods that are high in protein, which can increase metabolic heat. Keep pets
indoors and refill water bowls frequently.
If you must go out:
Wear lightweight, light-colored clothes to deflect the sun's energy. Slow down,
avoid strenuous outdoor activity, or do it only during the coolest parts of the
day. Cover all exposed skin with high SPF sun block and wear a wide-brimmed hat
to protect your face and head. Drink plenty of fluids.
